PMF Cup, Scheduled dates ( Click dates below to view draw ) 3rd Round - 16th February 2002
PMF CUP COMPETITION
Teams Entered: 32 ( 8 teams from each of the 4 PMF divisions )
1st Round: All 32 teams are randomly drawn against each other and will compete in 16 1st Round matches. These 16 matches are to be played over 1 leg, with the winning 16 teams progressing to the 2nd Round. The losing 16 teams are knocked out of the PMF Cup until next season. Matches are to be played at the venue of the home side. If scores are level after 90 minutes then extra time ( The golden goal ) and then penalties will decide the result.
2nd Round: The 16 teams that qualified from the 1st Round are then randomly drawn against each other and will compete in 8 2nd Round matches. These 8 matches are to be played over 1 leg, with the winning 8 teams progressing to the 3rd Round. The losing 8 teams are knocked out of the PMF Cup until next season. Matches are to be played at the venue of the home side. If scores are level after 90 minutes then extra time ( The golden goal ) and then penalties will decide the result.
3rd Round: The 8 teams that qualified from the 2nd Round are then randomly drawn against each other and will compete in 4 3rd Round matches. These 4 matches are to be played over 1 leg, with the winning 4 teams progressing to the semi finals. The losing 4 teams are knocked out of the PMF Cup until next season. Matches are to be played at the venue of the home side. If scores are level after 90 minutes then extra time ( The golden goal ) and then penalties will decide the result.
Semi Finals: The 4 teams that qualified from the 1st Round are then randomly drawn against each other and will compete in 2 semi final matches. These 2 matches are to be played over 1 leg, with the winning team progressing to the final. The losing team are knocked out of the PMF Cup until next season. Matches are to be played at a neutral venue. If scores are level after 90 minutes then extra time ( The golden goal ) and then penalties will decide the result.
Final: The 2 teams that qualified from the semi finals will meet in the PMF Cup final. The final is to be played over 1 leg, with the winning team being crowned PMF Cup winners. The final will take place at the PMF National Stadium. If scores are level after 90 minutes then extra time ( The golden goal ) and then penalties will decide the result.
