PMF Kick Off Just Around the Corner

Season set to start in November

Premier Management Football officials today announced to the World's awaiting press that they have pencilled in a November start date for their new league.

The Premier Management Football league ( Known as the PMF league ) was created just six short weeks ago, but already it seems as though the PMF board are ready to announce an official starting date within the next few weeks, a date which could be as early as the beginning of November.

Over half of the 32 clubs who will compete in PMF's first ever season have already appointed managers in just over 10 days, and it is believed that all other vacant positions within the league will be taken up well before the leagues start date.

PMF's Chief Executive, Kevin Porter said this morning, " We are extremely pleased at the interest shown in the league in such a short space of time. We have been overwhelmed with the support shown by both people who will and will not be involved with the league, and we have come to the decision that we can now pencil in a realistic starting date for the big kick off. "

Although Porter was reluctant to announce any exact dates, many believe that the first week of league matches could be played as early as November 3rd, with transfers within the league being allowed up to a month before that. Although the PMF board have yet to officially confirm any dates, only saying that they would be contacting all PMF clubs in due course.

PMF's League Liaison Officer, Dr Oliver Cadin would only comment briefly as he left PMF headquarters this afternoon by saying " We are prepared, and we are ready. "

With big clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal already appointing managers it would appear that most clubs are also ready for the big kick off. Only Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea from the 1st Division have yet to appoint new managers in preparations for the up and coming first season, although both are expected to do so within the next week.

The PMF league has also attracted some big names from the world of football management. Cory Skilton and Ani Palat, managers of Manchester United and Arsenal respectively are both well respected around the world, whilst relative new comers Aussie Jones ( Everton ), Sigfried Moeri ( Newcastle United ) and Matt Hansen ( Manchester City ) have all put pen to paper and signed contracts.

Many have already commented on the amount of managerial talent coming into the league, and more is expected over the coming weeks as clubs battle it out to appoint top class talent from around the world.

International players from around the world have also shown an interest in joining the league before a ball has even been kicked. Ex Liverpool starlet Steve McManaman hinted today that he would not rule out a return to an English club under a new league format, whilst another Englishman, Owen Hargreaves commented that this could be the right time for him to make a move into English football.

Holland's young ace Patrick Kleivert refused to comment on whether he would relish a move to England, although his Dutch team mate Jaap Stam said he wouldn't rule out a move here.

It is not sure when the English transfer embargo will be lifted, but what is sure is that the race to sign the best foreign imports from around the world will be fast and furious as PMF clubs look to build for the future early for what promises to be an exciting league.

Away from the league, the PMF board also confirmed that the PMF Cup will also take place during season 1, with all 32 PMF teams eligible to enter and all rounds of the competition being played throughout the course of the season. Porter said, " The PMF Cup will be open to all 32 PMF teams and will be the Premier cup competition a club can win. "

The PMF Super Cup is another cup which will be contested at the end of each season and will be open to clubs who finish in the top two places of their respective divisions.

The final trophy on offer to PMF clubs will not be contested until the start of season 2. The PMF Shield will be contested between the PMF League Division 1 champions and the PMF Cup winners. Further details of all competitions can be found at the official PMF web site.

With the big kick off seemingly just around the corner and the excitement growing all the time in and around the PMF community, PMF's first season looks set to be a cracker. Everyone concerned will be hoping that it lives up to the expectation.
