ABM FINALISATION TAKES STEPS BACKWARDS

High profile issues puts question mark over union

by Mark Chang for PMF News

In a very grey week for PMF, the managers union, ABM has seemingly taken more steps backwards than forwards.

A high profile outburst by big ABM backer, Sigfied Moeri, and the well documented issues at another strong backer, Aussie Jones' club Everton have caused the PMF Board to state that the managers union is the last thing on their mind.

In a statement from PMF House, Liaison Officer, Dr. Olivier Cadin stated, "Over the past week we have seen a great deal of ugly issues raising their heads. We do not want to comment on these issues publicly as we feel that the clubs are the ones who should be dealing with the internal problems, and we wouldn't want to write the newspaper headlines ourselves. However, I can say that the ABM has certainly taken a back seat for the time being, and I can't see anybody sitting around a conference table in the near future."

Cadin refused to answer any questions regarding Sigfried Moeri's corruption claims, or the scandal which has brought the good name of Everton Football Club through the mud. However, it is known that the PMF House are seeking legal advise over the former incident, and Moeri could have put himself in more hot water than he could possibly imagine.

It was a big shame for the PMF League that these incidents occured in a week which was free from real refereeing problems, and also boasted a great deal of influential players entering the league.

Unfortunately the two main problems stole the limelight, and with Ani Palat's shock departure from Arsenal today, it is indeed a very grey time for the league.
