Moeri top of the pile - But for how long? Newcastle manager tops first Manager Rankings table
Sigfried Moeri tops the first official PMF
managerial rankings chart, just Many people's surprise package of the top five managers so far is Rich McRich, who has yet to gain the managerial experience of the likes of Tiberio and Palat, although he leads both men in the rankings table. And Sunderland supporters will be hoping that their man can lead the Teesiders to 1st division glory. The biggest shock to many so far however will be that new Arsenal manager Ani Palat only finds himself 9th on the list. The hugely respected manager is expected to lead Arsenal to great success over the next few seasons and many believe that the Londoners could even capture a first ever PMF league and cup double during this first PMF season. Other experienced managers who have also failed to impress the PMF Board so far it seems are Antonio Tiberio and Adam Chase. Tiberio, who is famed for running hot and cold at times will need to do more once the season kicks off if he is to satisfy passionate Tottenham supporters that he can lead the club to success. Whilst Adam Chase has also kept out of the public eye since his arrival at Upton Park.
Moeri, who currently tops the ranking list has amassed 52 points so far. Although it is believed that managers will be able to earn more points each month once the season starts on November 3rd, when the PMF will be awarding points for a number of other activities. It is still unsure what the majority of PMF managers have to say about the new transfer rankings. Aussie Jones for one is all for the new points system, by simply saying "I'm all for the system" Arsenal manager Ani Palat voiced his concerns today though by saying, "I hope manager of the month awards are not awarded on the basis of these ratings. I think they should be awarded solely on the basis of a managers record on the pitch" Porter has remained tight lipped since the ranking table was announced yesterday, but did say that the points system did not have a massive effect on manager of the month awards. He said "The points system will not prove to be that much of a factor when manager of the month awards are awarded. A manager could find himself quite low down the list and still land the manager of the month award." Porter's comments could add even more confusion to the ranking tables though, as managers look for clues in their bid to reach the top of the list. The PMF Board for now are saying nothing, and it may just be that they want it to stay that way. If PMF managers don't know exactly what they need to do to reach the top, then many will work longer and harder to achieve their ultimate goals.
