PLAYERS ANNOUNCE PLANS TO RETIRE

Number of pros decide to hang up their boots

A number of professionals today announced their plans to retire at the end of the season, ex-England Internationals Tony Adams, Martin Keown, Paul Merson, Nigel Winterburn, Lee Dixon, Carlton Palmer and Stuart Pearce have all decided that this is to be their last season in the league.

Of all the teams, Derby County are perhaps the worst hit, with Dixon, Blanc, Kimble, and perhaps most importantly their captain and top scorer Ravanelli all deciding that this was to be their first, and last season in the PMF League.

The full list of players who will be retiring at the end of the first PMF season is as follows:
