PMF AUTHORITIES TO
EXPAND NATIONAL STADIUM PMF STADIUM TO GAIN 20,000 SEATS by Mark Chang for PMF News A PMF spokesman has today announced that planning permission has been
granted by Wembley council for expansion work to begin on the PMF national
stadium. The PMF national stadium, which was built on the old Wembley site almost
a year ago in time for the new PMF league, currently has a capacity of
100,000. But PMF officials have secretly been negotiating with the Wembley
council to expand the Stadium to a capacity of 120,000. PMF officials have gone to great lengths to keep their plans secret, but
today they have finally announced that work will begin immediately after the
PMF Super cup final on the 1st May. In a short announcement read out by PMF
official David Yates this morning, he said "We are delighted to announce
that we have been granted planning permission to expand our national
stadium. Work is due to begin on Saturday 4th May, just three days after the
PMF Super Cup final, and we are confident that work will be completed well
before PMF's second season kicks off. We are expecting work to be completed
in approximately 2 months." PMF House have yet to announce when season two will kick off, although it
is likely to be around the end of July, which will give builders just enough
time to complete the work on the Stadium. PMF officials are also holding expansion plans very close to their chest
but it is believed that the new work will turn the already futuristic
looking PMF national stadium into arguably the best stadium in the world. Early rumours suggest that new tiers will be built behind each of the two
goals whilst a new roof will be added around the entire stadium, giving the
stadium a dome look. It is also believed that a sports superstore will be built on the ground
floor of the stadium, whilst several rooms will also be expended inside,
including larger changing rooms, vip rooms, conference room, bar, guest
rooms and restaurant. If the PMF stadium is to be labelled the best stadium in the world it is
also expected that several mod cons will be added. The stadium is already
one of the best in the world in that department but is still behind stadiums
in Japan, USA and China. It is likely that the new developments will include state of the art
changing rooms, including seperate showers and baths for all players,
massive TV screens and even seperate physio rooms. The new expansions are also expected to create around 100 new jobs inside
the stadium alone, not to mention the 400 or so builders who will be working
on the site for two months. Today's announcement certainly underlines the PMF's intention to build
the PMF league into the biggest in the world. With season one ending in just
a few weeks time and already some of the biggest names in football signing
for PMF clubs, it would seem that the PMF league can only get bigger and
better over the next few years. |
