PMF Shield

The PMF Shield is traditionally the annual season opener, which is played the weekend before league matches start. The one off encounter is staged at The PMF National Stadium and is contested between the PMF Division 1 winners and the PMF Cup winners from the previous season.

In the event that the same club should win both the PMF 1st Division title and the PMF Cup, then the PMF Cup runners up will be entered into the competition.

Although the PMF Shield is not strictly a charity event the match is renown for being played in a friendly manner.

If the match is not settled after 90 minutes then the result will be decided with a penalty shootout.
