Rules
The rules on this page apply to the
Premier Management Football League (PMF)
and anything else associated with this site. You must read these terms and
conditions before you will be accepted to our league. Failure to read the
rules will result in your immediate termination.
Role-plays (RPs) are
determined by quality, not quantity. While the PMF Executive
Board can and will put length and amount into factor when deciding a winner,
the judgment will be based on who the PMF
Executive Board felt did a better job of RPing over a certain course of
time. The match results will then be sent out to writers and other such
additions placed into the finalized match product. Any complaints about
results can be sent to the Executive Board. If a complaint about a
particular result is received, a rematch could be rescheduled, although this
is unlikely. Continuous complaints about results will result in termination
or penalties.
RPs must not contain
any anti-semetic, racial, sexual or other such unnecessary comment. Any
comment that personally insults a person's race, colour, or religion will be
deemed null and void. If RPs frequently contain this problem, termination or
penalties will result. Likewise, searching a rivals RP to find errors such
as these too frequently will also result in penalty and/or termination.
RPs must be sent out
to the leagues e-mail list (named "role-play list"). Updated role-play
lists shall be sent out as deemed necessary by the Board. Failure to send to
the entire role-play list will result in voiding of the RP. This means that
every time you RP, you MUST send that RP to everybody on the
PMF RP List.
Although RP's play a huge part in your teams results, they are NOT
everything. A number of things are taken into account when compiling results
( Which will remain a secret from managers ). The basic rule is to remain
active. The more you are involved in every aspect of the game, the better
chance you have of being successful.
You are limited to
the use of your manager and him alone. Creation of "temporary" characters
(such as your managers wife, a friend, etc.) is allowed. Use of
commentators/reporters in RPs is also acceptable. Use of another's
characters, a real person/manager, or another league other than the league
belonging to the PMF will result in a penalty as
well as voiding of the RP.
Spam mail is not
acceptable. Informing the role-play list of your league, site, or anything
else of that nature will result in your immediate termination or severe
penalties. The RP list is for RP's ONLY!
You are not allowed
to inform AOL's Terms of Service (TOS), Hotmail's TOS, or any other mail
client of any role-plays concerning a violation of their rules. If you
inform AOL that someone from our league is spamming (when all they are
really doing is RPing), you will be terminated immediately.
No RP lengtheners are
allowed. An RP lengthener is defined as anything meant to make your RP look
longer, such as a copyright statement, triple spacing, or anything else
deemed such by the PMF Executive Board. Failure to
comply will result in voiding of role-play or penalties.
Curses are banned
from subject headers. Do not make mention of them at all. Curses, however,
are allowed in your role-plays. We encourage that you censor the e-mail
(**** out the words), but will not punish those who do not. However, all RPs
are deemed to be either live on television, radio or in the national press.
So using curses will result in penalties for your manager or club, unless
you can find methods of disguising foul and crude language.
E-mail switching is
forbidden. A definition of e-mail switching would be changing your e-mail
address once a week. Stick with one e-mail address, if you must change it
then give us ample warning time. If you frequently change your e-mail
address, we will simply not add you to our RP list anymore.
Asking the
PMF Executive Board for an opinion on something is
prohibited. The PMF Executive Board is required to
give out no opinions on anything at any time. Asking, for example, if your
RP was good or not, will result in a punishment of some sort, or what action
the PMF Executive Board will be taking against
another employee of the league. If you continue to ask for our opinions
after you've been told not to, penalties will be handed out.
You must send an
application in for review in order to be considered for acceptance. Not
everyone is accepted, so do not get your hopes up. Fill out the application
as best you can, making sure to include a sample role-play, even if you have
never done one before. Visit the
Sample Role-play page
for help.
No unoriginal manager
or celebrity names are permitted in the PMF League.
Unoriginal names are defined as any celebrity or manager that is somewhat of
a household name. You must create your own original character in order to be
reviewed. This also applies to all staff and other associates that your club
has. The only celebrity names permitted are those that are professional
footballers or players who've retired and joined the backroom staff.
If any amount of
biased deals are detected then the clubs involved will be put under
investigation. The definition of biased deals is selling players to clubs on
the cheap, to clubs that you are friendly on the cheap or to destroy your
current club due to you not liking them. This will result in heavy penalties
or termination.
The PMF Executive Board reserve the right
to terminate your position in PMF at any given
time, with or without reason. We call all the shots here at
Premier Management Football.
Throughout seasons, the PMF Executive Board
will come across managers who will continue to be a pain. Either purposely
or by no fault of their own. We will kill them off in the next main news
story. Pick of the bunch are fatal car crashes, shot down by gunman and
drowned sleeping in the bath.
Matches are played
every Saturday. Tactics have to be submitted to their deadlines! Your Match
Squad and Team Instructions must be submitted by
Thursday evening at 6:00pm
(BST)
If you fail to meet these deadlines on a regular basis you will be punished
via fining or even termination provided your club feel your under achieving.
Missing a deadline will almost certainly result in your side losing that
particular match.
RPs are supposed to
be well thought out descriptive pieces of writing. If you can't manage a
single paragraph in your RP then it's not worth applying or RPing at all. We
want quality and will punish those who fail to produce via terms of results.
If you want to be the best, you have to work for it!
ICQ is a very
important tool to have. With it you can communicate with other
PMF managers. ICQ can be used for negotiations and
haggling over the prices of players when buying or selling. This is
extremely important as we do NOT really want to see haggling on the RP
board. The RP board is for long quality RPs and not negotiating
prices for players. However once a player has been signed or sold then it's
a good idea to do a RP about it!
When signing a player
both teams must submit the transfer details using the form
provided at the
Transfer Form page. If both teams fail
to submit the details then the transfer will be delayed causing the player
to be ineligible to play for his new club. The forms also have to be
identical, with details matching equally from the two clubs involved. The
board has the right to block any deals which they deem unfair for both
clubs. The board always has the final say on the matter.
Player exchange deals are allowed although only a
maximum of two players are allowed to move from one club to another
in one deal. You will also have to fill in a
transfer form for each player
transferred, regardless of whether he is involved in an exchange deal or
not. You must also tick the exchange box on the transfer form before any
player exchange or part exchange deal can go through.
You must role-play on a regular basis. This means that
you must stay active and RP at least once a week ( Unless you inform
the PMF Board that this will not be possible ). We will not tolerate
managers who do not RP for weeks at a time, and their position in PMF will
be terminated immediately if this continues to happen. If you do not have
the time to RP on a regular basis or do not think that you will be able to
keep to these standards then please do not send in an application form.
Our final rule is to
have fun!!! Don't take things personally or too seriously! If your sacked,
live with it! We like sacked managers to come back and participate in the
league again, it makes good news and a good league! So if your thrown out
for doing something bad, don't worry it's all part and parcel of the fun.
The rules are not that complex although there are many missing from this
page due to common sense. Rules will be added or taken away as necessary.
